Carbon Smart Building Declaration

ALV is a family-owned enterprise, and we take that word “family” in a serious sense, a larger sense. Our family clearly includes those we are directly related to, parents, siblings, and so on. Family evidently must mean those employed by ALV. But it also means our larger community and the markets in which we operate and seek to serve.

The stakeholders in ALV, all of those interested in our success or impact, include our suppliers and distributors, our competitors and partners, and the broader community of which we are members. Ultimately, we have to consider that our family is global in scope. After all, how we make our products has an impact on the world around us, and the humans beings who inhabit that world.

The Carbon Smart Building Declaration recognizes that every human production has a carbon footprint. In fact, buildings globally generate approximately 40% of all greenhouse gas emissions (GHGs). Our intention is to help transform this existential threat into a positive solution. So we have ambitions to minimize carbon emissions in the creation of our products.

As evidence of our intentions, we’ve signed the Carbon Smart Building Declaration. We hope you’ll read the Declaration and add your name and that of your company as well.
