Working with ALV has been an absolute pleasure over the last number of years. Their technical expertise along with hard work have helped NIC win major customer contracts. The overall support from their team is unmatched and makes for a successful partnership. I would highly recommend utilizing them as a long-term strategic partner.

In 1992, a Vietnamese engineer named Vinh Nguyen and an executive management professional named Huong Nguyen decided to start an aluminum products distribution center in Ho Chi Minh City which they called “295.” Along with producing and distributing aluminum, the Nguyens also found time to produce six daughters, several of whom have been involved in the family business!

The 295 store did well, rapidly expanding its markets, its customer base, and its product lines. By 1994, the company, newly renamed “LongVan,” had successfully developed a number of new products and had become the top distributor of Japanese-technology extruded aluminum in Vietnam. By 2003 drawing on the talents of a team of hundreds of engineers, programmers, technicians, and others, LongVan had developed the infrastructure, marketing capacity, and distribution channels to enter global markets in material and fabrication.

In 2005, LongVan partnered with Honda Metal Industries of Japan to open Hondalex, a joint venture to extrude aluminum products for both Asian and high-growth global markets. In the same year, the LongVan company created a subsidiary called Loval, designed to fully meet the manufacturing material and fabrication demands of both Asian and European markets.

Finally, ALV was founded in 2013 to leverage the Nguyens’ several decades’ experience both in producing customized components and final products as well as successfully managing the entire supply chain.
